OCULUS: top-class instruments — and finally systems to match
On 30 July 2026 we handed over Healtek Medtech OS to OCULUS — with the fastest data onboarding we've run yet. Cleaning and importing years of customer, device and order data from their old systems finished within hours, powered by Healtek's integration with Anthropic's Claude.
Who OCULUS is
OCULUS of Hradec Králové has been selling and servicing ophthalmic equipment since 1993. Building on the heritage of the German manufacturer OCULUS Optikgeräte, the team supplies instruments from OCULUS, Nidek, MediWorks and other brands to eye clinics, hospitals and opticians across the Czech Republic — and keeps them running with certified in-house service.
The medtech paradox
People in medtech are among the fastest adopters of new technology — they follow every advance in diagnostics and bring it to market first. But their attention rightly belongs to the devices and the patients, not to company software. So the back office grows in pieces over the years: a standalone CRM here, separate accounting there, service records in spreadsheets, and mandatory safety-inspection protocols filled in on paper and retyped into invoices by hand. OCULUS was no exception.
What changed at handover
The data moved itself. Work that normally means weeks of retyping and checking — and brings customers no value at all — ran automatically and finished within hours.
One system instead of many. CRM, order management, field service and billing now run under one roof. The sales rep, the service technician and the managing director all see the same data.
Service that generates sales. Healtek tracks mandatory safety inspections and schedules them proactively — instead of waiting for the customer to call. And the device registry surfaces sales opportunities on its own: what's reaching end of life, where accessories are missing, who hasn't ordered in a while.
Campaigns without manual work. The lead-management process lets the sales team launch and evaluate campaigns without anyone retyping contact lists.
Connected to accounting. Integration with the company's accounting system closes the loop — from first customer contact through order and installation to service and invoicing, with nothing copied between systems.
"What I saw today impressed me. Data we'd had scattered across systems and binders for years moved over in a few hours. For the first time I can see a realistic path to sales and service largely running themselves — so our team can spend its time with customers, not with admin."Michal Vymyslický · managing director, OCULUS
What it's for
The OCULUS team can now focus on what they do best: getting the best ophthalmic technology to doctors quickly and safely — and forgetting their systems are even there.
